“Without the help and assistance of DPP, we would not have been able to send our two children (who are two years apart in age) both to Montessori Preschool. Montessori Preschool made an enormous difference in our children’s readiness for elementary school and impacted the rest of their learning careers. Both are currently in college pursuing degrees. Preschool made an enormous difference in our life, and we would not have been able to send both of our children to Montessori Preschool for a full day, five-day-a-week program without the assistance of DPP.”

Shaping the Future

“To date, my son and very close ones that were part of his same ECE4 class, and we’re talking about 10 years ago when this happened, and so that has definitely shaped who he is and who his community and support system has been.

I know a program like this is not cheap, and so I would just say continue doing what you can for these families and having those partnerships with the government to subsidize or to help with this program because I know that not only it opens up opportunities for parents to be able to go back to work but also being able to not having to spend a lot of money just for child care which is important and having a program like this where not only they’re doing the child care but it’s a critical development phase of our children. I would highly encourage this program to be supported and continue for younger generations.”

Jump Start to Life 

“I feel like both my kids are very successful with the extra two years that is available under their belt compared to the kindergartners who go into kindergarten without any school experience. I believe the two years that is available to the ECE 3 and ECE 4 really gives them a jump start to their school careers.”
